	Buyers Guide The Syracuse Builders Exchange provides members, project owners and the construction industry with a directory and buyers guide containing information and services helpful to professionals in construction industry-related businesses. 	Golf Outing The SBE golf tournament was held on Monday, May 18, 2009. Due to the popularity and demand for the event, members may choose to play golf at either Country Club of Syracuse or Drumlins Country Club (private East Course) as SBE utilizes both courses to host the golf tournament.
	Clambake                                                                                                                                                                             The Syracuse Builders Exchange clambake, scheduled for the third Wednesday each September at Hinerwadel’s Grove, is the largest construction industry-related social function in the state, with nearly 4,000 people attending. An extensive menu of raw/steamed clams, chicken, potatoes, salads, corn-on-the-cob, carved beef, hamburgers, sausage, hot dogs, pork and much more, a variety of beverages, disc jockey; door prizes, convenient venue and great networking opportunities make this event an annual favorite for our members.

	Community Involvement Program SBE is pleased to announce our Community Involvement Program, where we will award $20,000 in grants to assist local charities or not-for-profit organizations in the construction of a building or building renovation projects benefiting those in need in the Central New York community.  All applications must be returned to the Syracuse Builders Exchange in May.  Candidates may contact Executive Director Earl R. 	Syracuse Construction Career Days The Syracuse Builders Exchange and a local committee of construction industry leaders and educators team up each fall at the Pepsi International Pavilion at the New York State Fairgrounds for the Syracuse Construction Career Day event. Construction Career Day is designed to introduce local high school students to the vast career opportunities and unlimited potential for advancement within the Central New York construction industry. The event is primarily about Youth, Industry & Partnership, and is expected to draw approximately 500 11th and 12th grade students from area high schools. The event will provide students with hands-on experiences operating construction-related heavy equipment and machinery, along with skilled trades’ exhibits and demonstrations. In addition, there will be vendor booths available for construction industry employers, union and trade organizations which offer training and apprenticeship programs, colleges and universities, professional design firms, NYS Department of Transportation, equipment sales companies, and much more.
